Cucumbers
..of the pickling variaty. This is a test for the box to see if it’s possible to grow a warm weather plant inside it. Since the box is short in height and long in length, it couldn’t ever be used to grow peppers or tomatoes. It’s also probably too small for a melon plant. In addition to this, we really want to try making my own pickled cucumbers, polish style. I really don’ t know how much space they will need to grow in, or if the box will be too hot or not hot enough, or stop them being pollinated. This experiment has a lot of unknowns! If it works, it’ll will be an excellent tick in the box.. for the box. That all being good, we then have the follow on experiment to see if we can pickle them! Mmmmm… I can taste them now.
Of course we need all the other ingredience to pickle them will, starting with also growing dill. Need to check a recipe for the rest!
